Takes the view that this Transatlantic Partnership Agreement should expand the existing Agenda in the political, economic and security fields, on the understanding that the partnership should primarily remain political engagement; considers that, as regards the economic relationship which, according to a recent OECD study, could increase GDP per capita in Europe by 2-3%, the remaining barriers to transatlantic trade and investment should be identified and a route map should be developed which outlines the course of action to strengthen the Transatlantic Market within a clear timetable by prioritising areas of action, accompanied by the establishment of an area-specific regulatory dialogue to assist the process;

3. considère que cet accord de partenariat transatlantique devrait élargir l'actuel agenda dans les domaines politique, économique et de sécurité, étant entendu que ce partenariat devrait demeurer essentiellement un engagement politique; estime que, s'agissant des relations économiques, qui, selon une étude récente de l'OCDE, pourraient augmenter de 2 à 3 % le PIB par habitant en Europe, il convient d'identifier les entraves au commerce et à l'investissement transatlantiques qui subsistent et d'élaborer une feuille de route qui définit les moyens de renforcer le marché transatlantique dans le cadre d'un calendrier précis, en déterminant des domaines d'action prioritaires, et d'ouvrir en parallèle, dans des domaines spécifiques, un dialogue réglementaire propre à faciliter ce processus;

It will monitor the satisfactory operation of the agreement and examine questions arising in the course of its application. A "future developments" clause is provided for under the terms of which the contracting parties may by common accord widen the agreement with a view to stepping up cooperation and supplement it by arrangements relating to specific sectors or activities.
