À la suite des progrès décisifs réalisés en 2001 en ce qui concerne le statut de la société européenne et le rôle des travailleurs employés dans une telle société, les négociations portant sur un règlement relatif au statut d'une structure coopérative européenne ont également abouti, de même que la directive du Parlement européen et du Conseil complétant le règlement pour ce qui concerne l'implication des travailleurs.
Following the final breakthrough in 2001 on the European Company Statute and the involvement of workers in such companies, the negotiations for a regulation on the statute for a European co-operative structure have now also been successfully completed, together with the European Parliament and Council directive supplementing the regulation with regard to the involvement of employees.
