It is important to implement the overall Armenian Development Strategy as well as sector specific strategies (SME Strategy and the recommendations of the SBA Assessment, Export Promotion Strategy, rural development etc.) to actively participate in the EU programmes for SMEs (COSME) and for research and innovation (Horizon 2020), and to upgrade the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) regulatory and infrastructure environment, making full use of EU support in these areas.

10. rappelle que les PME, qui représentent au sein de l'Union européenne 99% du total des entreprises et fournissent les 2/3 des emplois, constituant ainsi le principal secteur d'activité de l'économie européenne, génèrent plus de 50% du PIB de l'UE; souligne le fait que les objectifs de Lisbonne ne peuvent être réalisés que par le biais d'une politique en faveur des PME ciblée et dotée de ressources suffisantes, qui couvre le financement, la réglementation, le renforcement de l'esprit d'entreprise et la participation des PME à la recherche, à l'innovation, aux technologies et aux marchés publics; considère le projet de loi européenne sur les petites entreprises ("Small Business Act") comme un instrument primordial de soutien aux PME et estime qu'une augmentation appropriée des ressources sera nécessaire à cet effet;
10. Recalls that SMEs generate more than half of EU's GDP, representing 99% of all EU undertakings, providing two thirds of all jobs in the EU and thus comprising the biggest sector of EU economy; highlights that the Lisbon objectives can only be achieved through a targeted and well-resourced SME policy that addresses financing, regulation and support for increased entrepreneurship and participation by SMEs in the spheres of research, innovation, technologies and public procurement; considers the planned Small Business Act a very important instrument in supporting SMEs and believes that this will require an appropriate increase in resources;
