– having regard to its position of 16 April 2014 on the draft Council decision on the conclusion of a Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and Georgia, of the other part, on a Framework Agreement between the European Union and Georgia on the general principles for the participation of Georgia in Union programmes ,

À la suite de l’adoption par le Conseil, le 13 novembre 2012, d’une décision autorisant l’ouverture de négociations, le haut représentant de l’Union pour les affaires étrangères et la politique de sécurité a négocié un accord entre l’Union européenne et la Géorgie établissant un cadre pour la participation de la Géorgie aux opérations de gestion de crise menées par l’Union européenne (ci-après dénommé «accord»).
Following the adoption of a Decision by the Council on 13 November 2012 authorising the opening of negotiations, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy negotiated an agreement between the European Union and Georgia establishing a framework for the participation of Georgia in European Union crisis management operations (‘the Agreement’).

L’accord entre l’Union européenne et la Géorgie établissant un cadre pour la participation de la Géorgie aux opérations de gestion de crise menées par l’Union européenne est approuvé au nom de l’Union.
The Agreement between the European Union and Georgia establishing a framework for the participation of Georgia in the European Union crisis management operations is hereby approved on behalf of the Union.

The Commission has negotiated, on behalf of the Union, an Agreement between the European Union and Georgia on protection of geographical indications of agricultural products and foodstuffs (the ‘Agreement’).

La signature de l’accord entre l’Union européenne et la Géorgie relatif à la protection des indications géographiques des produits agricoles et des denrées alimentaires est autorisée au nom de l’Union, sous réserve de la conclusion dudit accord (1).

60. invite la vice-présidente/haute représentante à intensifier les discussions avec la Russie afin de garantir le respect inconditionnel et la mise en œuvre de toutes les dispositions de l'accord en six points de 2008 entre la Russie, l'Union européenne et la Géorgie, ainsi qu'a œuvrer à une résolution définitive de ce conflit en ce qui concerne l'intégrité territoriale de la Géorgie; estime que la Russie devrait notamment garantir à la Mission de surveillance de l'Union européenne en Géorgie (MSUE) un accès illimité à l'Abkhazie et à l'Ossétie du Sud; souligne la nécessité d'apporter la stabilité dans les régions de Géorgie susmentionnées;
60. Calls on the VP/HR to intensify talks with Russia to assure the unconditional fulfilment and implementation of all the provisions of the six-point agreement of 2008 between Russia, the European Union and Georgia as well as to work towards an ultimate solution of this conflict which respects the territorial integrity of Georgia; takes the view that Russia should, in particular, guarantee full unlimited access of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) to Abkhazia and South Ossetia; underlines the necessity to provide stability in aforementioned Georgian regions;

Il y a en effet une volonté très claire de rapprochement de la Géorgie avec l'Union européenne, qui s'est exprimée, ces dernières années, par toute une série d'actes politiques majeurs, allant du renforcement d'une coopération bilatérale entre l'Union européenne et la Géorgie, à l'adhésion de la Géorgie au Conseil de l'Europe ou à la Convention Européenne des Droits de l'Homme.
There is a very clear desire for rapprochement between Georgia and the EU which has been expressed in recent years through a series of significant political acts, ranging from improved bilateral cooperation between the EU and Georgia to Georgia's accession to the Council of Europe and the European Convention on Human Rights.
