La Commission européenne a donné de nouvelles orientations sur l’interprétation du règlement sur la prestation de services de cabotage à l’intérieur d’un État membre de manière à mettre en place un marché intérieur des services de transport maritime.
The European Commission has given new guidance on the interpretation of the regulation to provide cabotage within a Member State , thus providing an internal market for the provision of maritime transport services.

Pour être menées à bien, ces transformations nécessitent une modification profonde du cadre réglementaire sur le rail, notamment: l'ouverture du marché des services de transport intérieur de passagers, la mise en place de structures de gestion unique des corridors ferroviaires de fret, une séparation des activités des gestionnaires d'infrastructures de celles des fournisseurs de services, ainsi que des améliorations du cadre réglementaire en vue de rendre le rail plus attrayant pour les investisseurs du secteur privé.
All this will require major changes to the regulatory framework for rail including: opening the market for domestic passenger services; introducing single management structures for rail freight corridors; a structural separation of infrastructure managers and service providers; improvements in the regulatory environment to make rail more attractive for private sector investment.
