1. se réjouit des efforts communs et constants déployés par l'Union européenne et les États arabes pour collaborer sur des points présentant un intérêt commun, et cite dans ce contexte les réunions régulières des ministres des affaires étrangères Union européenne - Ligue des États arabes et le protocole d'accord entre le SEAE et le Secrétariat général de la Ligue des États arabes;
1. Welcome the constant joint efforts of the EU and the Arab states to work together in addressing aspects of common interest, mentioning in this context the regular European Union – League of Arab States Foreign Affairs Ministerial Meetings and the Memorandum of Understanding between the EEAS and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States;

– vu le protocole d'accord entre le Service européen pour l'action extérieure (SEAE) et le Secrétariat général de la ligue des États arabes (LEA) signé le 19 janvier 2015 à Bruxelles, et vu les déclarations de la vice-présidente/haute représentante à l'issue de sa rencontre avec le Secrétaire général de la LEA, Nabil El Arabi,
– having regard to the Memorandum of Understanding between the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (LAS) signed on 19 January 2015 in Brussels, and to the statements by the VP/HR following her meeting with the Secretary-General of the LAS, Dr Nabil El Araby,

The EU fully supports the Joint Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and the League of Arab States, Lakhdar Brahimi, in his efforts to find a negotiated solution to the crisis.

8. The EU welcomes the important decisions taken by the League of Arab States on 12 February to increase the international pressure on the Syrian regime as well as the strong commitment and leadership that the League of Arab States is taking to resolve the crisis in Syria.

L'UE restera en contact étroit avec la Ligue des États arabes, les Nations unies, l'Organisation de la coopération islamique, le Conseil de coopération du Golfe et d'autres organisations régionales dans le but de constituer un forum afin de coordonner leur action sur la Syrie, à l'appui des initiatives prises par la Ligue des États arabes pour résoudre la crise syrienne.
The EU will remain in close contact with the League of Arab States, the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Gulf Cooperation Council and other regional organisations with the aim of providing a forum for coordinating their action on Syria in support of the League of Arab States' initiatives with regard to the Syrian crisis.
