Les signaux manuels ci-après constituent le minimum nécessaire pour les communications d’urgence entre le commandant du service de sauvetage et de lutte contre les incendies d’aéronef (SLIA) du lieu de l’incident/les pompiers SLIA et l’équipage de conduite et/ou l’équipage de cabine de l’aéronef concerné par l’incident.
The following hand signals are established as the minimum required for emergency communication between the ARFF incident commander/ARFF firefighters and the cockpit and/or cabin crews of the incident aircraft.

Les signaux manuels d’urgence SLIA devraient être faits du côté gauche à l’avant de l’aéronef, pour l’équipage de conduite.
ARFF emergency hand signals should be given from the left front side of the aircraft for the cockpit crew.

(2) Lorsque, durant la période visée au paragraphe (1), à l’aéroport désigné, le nombre de mouvements des aéronefs correspondant à la catégorie d’aéronefs — SLIA la plus élevée est de 700 ou plus, la catégorie critique — SLIA équivaut à cette catégorie d’aéronefs — SLIA la plus élevée.
(2) Where, during the period referred to in subsection (1), the number of movements at the designated airport by aircraft in the highest aircraft category for fire fighting is 700 or more, the critical category for fire fighting is equivalent to that highest aircraft category for fire fighting.

(3) If, during the period referred to in subsection (1), the number of movements at the designated airport by aircraft in the highest aircraft category for fire fighting is less than 700, the critical category for fire fighting shall be determined by decreasing the highest aircraft category for fire fighting by one category.

303.12 Lorsqu’un accroissement, à l’aéroport désigné, du nombre de mouvements ou des dimensions des aéronefs commerciaux de transport de passagers entraîne l’établissement d’une catégorie critique — SLIA supérieure à la précédente, l’exploitant de l’aéroport doit satisfaire aux exigences visées au tableau de l’article 303.09 qui correspondent à celles de cette catégorie critique — SLIA plus élevée dans l’année suivant la date de l’établissement de celle-ci.
303.12 Where an increase in the number of movements by, or in the size of, commercial passenger-carrying aircraft at a designated airport results in the establishment for the airport of a higher critical category for fire fighting than the previous category, the operator of the airport shall meet the requirements for that higher category as set out in the table to section 303.09 within one year after the date of establishing the higher critical category for fire fighting.

303.07 (1) The operator of a designated airport shall determine a critical category for fire fighting for the airport based on the number of movements at the airport during the three-month period determined in accordance with subsection 303.06(3) or (4) by commercial passenger-carrying aircraft in the highest and the next highest aircraft categories for fire fighting.
