Reiterates its concern about the reports of continuing human rights violations in Tibet and in the other provinces inhabited by Tibetan people that include torture, arbitrary arrest and detention, repression of religious freedom, arbitrary restrictions of free movement and rehabilitation through labour camps; deplores the intensification of the so-called 'patriotic education' campaign since October 2005 in Tibet's monasteries and nunneries, forcing Tibetans to sign declarations denouncing the Dalai Lama as a dangerous separatist and proclaiming Tibet to be 'part of China'; calls upon China to allow an independent body to have access to Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the Panchen Lama of Tibet, and his parents, as requested by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child;

Is very concerned about recent reports of continuing serious human rights abuses in Tibetan areas of China, including torture, arbitrary arrest and detention, house arrest and other non-judicial surveillance of dissidents, detention without public trial, repression of religious freedom and arbitrary restrictions on free movement; is deeply concerned about the intensification of the so-called "patriotic education" campaign since October 2005 in Tibet's monasteries and nunneries, forcing Tibetans to sign declarations denouncing the Dalai Lama as a dangerous separatist and proclaiming Tibet to be "part of China", including the arrest of monks from the Drepung Monastery in November 2005 for refusing to denounce the Dalai Lama; calls upon China to allow an independent body to have access to Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the Panchen Lama of Tibet, and his parents, as requested by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child; calls upon the Chinese Government to intensify its positive engagement in substantive negotiations regarding the demands of the Dalai Lama for autonomy for Tibet;

L'actuelle décision vise la continuation du programme nutritionnel complémentaire en faveur de 125.000 personnes vivant dans le territoire contrôlé par le Front National Patriotique du Libéria (NFPL), et plus particulièrement dans les contés de Bong, Grand Bassa, et le Haut Marghibi, situés au périmètre des territoires contrôlés par la force d'interposition ouest-africaine sous contrôle nigérian (ECOMOG) à Monrovia et par le Mouvement de Libération Unie pour la Démocratie (ULIMO) contrôlant la partie Est du pays (voir IP(93)923).
This decision will make it possible to continue the supplementary nutritional programme for 125 000 people living in the territory controlled by the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL), especially those in the Bong, Grand Bassa and Upper Marghibi counties bordering the territories under the control of the Nigerian-led West African peacekeeping force (ECOMOG) at Monrovia and the United Liberation Movement of Liberia (ULIMO) in the eastern part of the country (see IP(93)923).
