Au niveau de l’Union africaine, la Commission soutient le plan d’action de Ouagadougou adopté en novembre 2006.
At the level of the African Union, the Commission has supported the Ouagadougou Action Plan adopted in November 2006.

Un plan d’action régional visant à renforcer la résilience de manière permanente et durable dans la région du Sahel, élaboré par les organisations régionales de l'Afrique de l'Ouest avec le soutien de la communauté des donateurs, sera présenté lors d'une réunion à haut niveau de tous les États concernés qui se tiendra à Ouagadougou au début du mois de décembre 2012.
A regional Plan of Action to strengthen resilience in a permanent and sustainable way in the Sahel, drawn up by the West African regional organisations with the support of the donor community, will be presented to a high-level meeting of all the states concerned in Ouagadougou in early December 2012.

6. salue les efforts de médiation déployés par le président du Burkina Faso dans le cadre des négociations en cours à Ouagadougou entre le gouvernement malien et les rebelles touaregs; appelle de ses vœux la conclusion rapide de ces négociations et réaffirme sa détermination à soutenir le rétablissement de l'administration de l'État sur l'ensemble du territoire malien et la tenue prochaine d'élections, y compris dans la région de Kidal et dans les camps de réfugiés;
6. Welcomes the mediation efforts by the President of Burkina Faso in the ongoing negotiations in Ouagadougou between the Malian government and Tuareg rebels; calls for the rapid conclusion of the negotiations, and reiterates its determination to support the re-establishment of the State administration throughout the territory of Mali and the forthcoming holding of elections, including in Kidal Region and in refugee camps;

3. salue les actions menées par la CEDEAO, l'Union africaine et les Nations unies, ainsi que par les pays voisins, pour aider le Mali à rétablir rapidement l'ordre constitutionnel et mettre en place des mesures concrètes en vue de protéger la souveraineté, l'unité et l'intégrité territoriale du pays; prend acte des résultats de la conférence tenue à Ouagadougou, les 14 et 15 avril 2012, sous l'égide du Président burkinabè Blaise Compaoré, médiateur nommé par la CEDEAO, et espère que le calendrier et les modalités de la transition seront rapidement précisés;
3. Commends the actions taken by ECOWAS, the African Union, the United Nations and neighbouring countries with a view to facilitating Mali's rapid return to constitutional order and initiating concrete measures designed to protect its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity; takes note of the outcome of the conference held in Ouagadougou on 14 and 15 April 2012 under the auspices of Burkinabe President Blaise Compaoré, the mediator appointed by ECOWAS, and hopes that the timetable and detailed arrangements for the transition will swiftly be clarified further;
