(4) Compte tenu de l'adoption de la directive 2005/./CE , il convient de modifier la décision 90/424/CEE afin que l'assistance financière communautaire puisse également être accordée pour les mesures d'éradication mises en œuvre par les États membres pour lutter contre les souches du virus faiblement pathogènes de l'influenza aviaire, susceptibles de muter en souches hautement pathogènes.
(4) In the light of the adoption of Directive 2005/./EC it is appropriate to modify Decision 90/424/EEC so that Community financial assistance may also be granted for those eradication measures carried out by the Member States to combat avian influenza virus strains of low pathogenicity that may mutate into highly pathogenic strains.
