C'est pourquoi la Commission se réjouit particulièrement de la volonté exprimée par les dirigeants des pays arabes de former, après la création en 1981 du Conseil de Coopération du Golfe, deux nouvelles entités économiques régionales au Maghreb et au Machrak, chacune avec ses spécificités propres.
For this reason the Commission is especially glad that, following the formation of the Gulf Cooperation Council in 1981, the leaders of the Arab countries have now resolved to form two new regional economic bodies in the Maghreb and Mashreq, each with its own special character.
