Au cours de cette réunion, et au terme de l'examen de la proposition de règlement du Parlement européen et du Conseil codifiant le règlement (CE) n° 779/98 du Conseil du 7 avril 1998 relatif à l'importation dans la Communauté de produits agricoles originaires de Turquie, abrogeant le règlement (CEE) n° 4115/86 et modifiant le règlement (CE) n° 3010/95, le groupe de travail consultatif a conclu, d'un commun accord, que la proposition se limite effectivement à une codification pure et simple des textes existants, sans modification de leur substance.
At that meeting, an examination of the proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council codifying Council Regulation (EC) No 779/98 of 7 April 1998 on the import into the Community of agricultural products originating in Turkey, repealing Regulation (EEC) No 4115/86 and amending Regulation (EC) No 3010/95 resulted in the Consultative Working Party’s concluding, without dissent, that the proposal is a straightforward codification of existing texts, without any change in their substance.

W. considérant que l'on peut s'interroger sur les effets et les conséquences perverses de la politique des visas de l'Union sur l'augmentation des préjugés raciaux à l'encontre de certaines communautés et minorités ethniques originaires, en particulier, des Balkans occidentaux, étant donné que, dans le contexte de la libéralisation du régime des visas, l'Union demande aux pays tiers partenaires de renforcer leurs contrôles aux frontières afin d'empêcher les migrants de demander l'asile dans l'Union, que des mesures ont pour but de remettre en place le mécanisme de suspension des visas, lequel pourrait conduire à la réintroduction de l'obligation de visa pour l'ensemble des ressortissants d'un pays tiers en cas d'augmentation des demandes d'asile soumises par lesdits ressortissants;
W. whereas questions may be raised as to the effects and perverse consequences of the EU’s visa policy on the increasing racial bias towards certain ethnic groups and minorities, especially those coming from the Western Balkans, given that in the framework of visa liberalisation the EU asks partner third countries to strengthen their exit controls in order to prevent people from applying for asylum in the EU, or given the policies that aim to reintroduce the so-called visa suspension mechanism, which could lead to the reintroduction of the visa requirement for all citizens of a third country if there is an increase in asylum applications stemming from citizens of that third country;

Le règlement (CE) n° 779/98 du Conseil du 7 avril 1998 relatif à l'importation dans la Communauté de produits agricoles originaires de Turquie confère à la Commission des pouvoirs lui permettant d'adopter les mesures d'exécution relatives à l'application du régime à l'importation pour les produits énumérés à l'annexe I du traité, originaires de Turquie et admis à l'importation dans l'Union aux conditions prévues par la décision n° 1/98 du Conseil d'association CE-Turquie.
Council Regulation (EC) No 779/98 of 7 April 1998 on the import into the Community of agricultural products originating in Turkey confers powers on the Commission allowing it to adopt implementing measures for the application of the import regime for products listed in Annex I to the Treaty which originate in Turkey and which are allowed for importation into the Union under the conditions laid down in Decision No 1/98 of the EC-Turkey Association Council.
