196 (1) A licence to carry on the trade or business of a tobacco or cigar manufacturer may be granted to any person who has complied with the requirements of this Act, if the granting of the licence has been approved by the district inspector and the person has, jointly with a guarantee company approved by the Minister, entered into a bond to Her Majesty in an amount determined by the Minister that is not less than one thousand dollars, and in such form that the proposed licensee and the guarantee company are both bound to the full amount of the bond.

182 (1) A licence to carry on the manufacture in bond of a certain kind or kinds of goods to be mentioned in the application for the licence in certain premises to be therein described may be granted to any person who has complied with the requirements of this Act, if the granting of the licence has been approved by the district inspector and the person has, jointly with a guarantee company approved by the Minister, entered into a bond to Her Majesty in an amount determined by the Minister that is not less than five thousand dollars, and in such form that the proposed licensee and the guarantee company are both bound to the full amount of the bond, and every such licence shall be known as a bonded manufacturing licence.

26. Si un détenteur de licence a l’intention de faire quelque changement ou addition aux bâtiments, ustensiles, mécanismes ou appareils, décrits ainsi que le prescrit la présente loi, ou de déplacer quelque partie de ces ustensiles, mécanismes ou appareils, ou de se servir de quelque compartiment ou chambre dans un but différent de celui qui a été mentionné dans la description écrite jointe à sa demande de licence, avis par écrit doit être signifié au receveur de son intention d’opérer ces changements, additions, déplacements ou modifications, au moins une semaine avant de les commencer. Cet avis énonce exactement tous les détails des changements, additions, déplacements ou modifications projetés et une fois les travaux achevés, le détenteur de licence fournit au receveur des plans et descriptions supplémentaires, que ce dernier envoie à l’inspecteur du district.
26. Where any person holding a licence under this Act intends to make any alteration or addition to the premises, utensils, machinery or apparatus described in this Act, to remove any portion of those utensils, machinery or apparatus or to make any use of any compartment or room for a purpose different from that mentioned in the written description accompanying his application for licence, notice in writing shall be served on the collector of the intention to make those alterations, additions, removals or changes at least one week before they are commenced, and every notice shall set out fully and correctly the particulars of the proposed alterations, additions, removals or changes, and on completion of the work, that person shall furnish the collector with supplementary plans and descriptions, which the collector shall forward to the district inspector.

130 (1) A licence to carry on the trade or business of a distiller may, with the approval of the district inspector of the district or excise division in which the trade or business is to be carried on, be granted to any person who has complied with the requirements of this Act if that person has, jointly with a guarantee company approved by the Minister, entered into a bond to Her Majesty in right of Canada in an amount determined by the Minister that is not less than two hundred thousand dollars, and in such form that the proposed licensee and the guarantee company are both bound to the full amount of the bond.
