L’article 11 vise à promouvoir la diffusion électronique systématique et spontanée des informations recueillies et traitées au titre de la présente proposition, et fait référence, dans ce contexte, aux dispositions du droit de l’Union, notamment à la directive 2003/4/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil[12].
Article 11 promotes the systematic, active and electronic dissemination of the information collected and processed under this proposal and refers, in that context, to the requirements established in Union law, including in Directive 2003/4/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.[12]

I shall gladly take this opportunity to report to you on the state of play with regard to the initiatives on maritime safety during the German Presidency of the Council. The proposal for a directive on the Community vessel-traffic monitoring and information system was one of the first proposals to be examined by the Council.

Or, il se trouve que le Conseil n'a pas suivi la proposition qui était faite par la Commission, par Mme Diamantopoulou, de prévoir au titre des sanctions, l'annulation des décisions de licenciement collectif qui pourraient résulter d'une infraction aux procédures d'information et de consultation et donc, à partir de là, de prévoir la possibilité de rétablir les contrats de travail des salariés qui auraient été licenciés en infraction à la directive européenne.
Yet, it turns out that the Council did not support the proposal made by the Commission and by Mrs Diamantopoulou, to provide for, in the form of sanctions, the overturning of decisions taken on mass redundancies, which could arise from a breach of the procedure on information and consultation and, therefore, as a result, to provide for the possibility of re-establishing the contracts of employment of employees who would have been made redundant, in breach of the European directive.
