47. invite les États membres, dans l'application du règlement (UE) n° 536/2014 relatif aux essais cliniques de médicaments à usage humain, à veiller à l'égalité de représentation entre les hommes et les femmes dans les essais cliniques, notamment en accordant une attention particulière à la transparence de la population qui participe auxdits essais; demande à la Commission, lorsqu'elle se penche sur la mise en œuvre adéquate de ce règlement, de surveiller spécifiquement les aspects de l'égalité entre les hommes et les femmes;

Calls on the Member States, when applying Regulation (EU) No 536/2014 in clinical trials of medicinal products for human use, to ensure equality in the representation of men and women in clinical trials, paying special attention to transparency as regards the gender composition of participants; calls on the Commission, when considering the proper implementation of this regulation, specifically to monitor aspects of equality between women and men;

Il y a lieu de définir des dispositions particulières pour la protection des femmes enceintes ou allaitantes qui participent à des essais cliniques, en particulier lorsque l'essai clinique n'est pas susceptible de produire des effets bénéfiques directs pour elle ou pour l'embryon, le fœtus ou l'enfant après sa naissance.
Specific provisions should be defined for the protection of pregnant and breastfeeding women participating in clinical trials and in particular when the clinical trial does not have the potential to produce results of direct benefit to her or to her embryo, foetus or child after birth.
