Dans un souci de simplification des actions d’appui à la coopération pratique en matière d’asile, et dans la mesure où le bureau d’appui devrait être chargé de certaines des tâches qui sont actuellement financées au titre du Fonds européen pour les réfugiés, il convient que la responsabilité de certaines des actions communautaires prévues par l’article 4 de la décision no 573/2007/CE (2) soit transférée du Fonds européen pour les réfugiés au bureau d’appui afin que la coopération pratique en matière d’asile soit assurée de façon optimale.
In the interests of simplifying actions to support practical cooperation on asylum matters, and in so far as the Support Office should be entrusted with some of the tasks that are currently financed under the European Refugee Fund, it is necessary to transfer responsibility for some of the Community actions provided for in Article 4 of Decision No 573/2007/EC (2) from the European Refugee Fund to the Support Office in order to ensure the best possible practical cooperation on asylum matters.

For that purpose, the authorities of the Member States responsible for the implementation of the Fund should be required to establish cooperation and coordination mechanisms with the authorities designated by the Member States for managing the implementation of the ESF and the European Refugee Fund and to ensure that actions under the Fund should be specific and complementary to actions financed under the ESF and the European Refugee Fund.

La présente décision établit, pour la période allant du 1er janvier 2008 au 31 décembre 2013, le Fonds européen pour les réfugiés (ci-après dénommé «Fonds») qui s'inscrit dans un cadre cohérent comprenant également la décision no 574/2007/CE, la décision no 575/2007/CE et la décision 2007/./CE, en vue de contribuer au renforcement de l'espace de liberté, de sécurité et de justice ainsi qu'à l'application du principe de solidarité entre les États membres.
This Decision establishes for the period from 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2013 the European Refugee Fund (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Fund’), as part of a coherent framework which also includes Decision No 574/2007/EC, Decision No 575/2007/EC, and Decision 2007/./EC, in order to contribute to the strengthening of the area of freedom, security and justice and the application of the principle of solidarity between the Member States.
