The position to be adopted by the European Community for a decision by the Management Entities under the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the European Community on the coordination of energy-efficiency labelling programmes for office equipment on revising the imaging equipment specifications in Annex C, part VII, to the Agreement shall be based on the attached draft decision.

With a view to preparing the revision of the specifications and of the office equipment product groups covered by Annex C to the Agreement, and before submitting a draft proposal or replying to the USEPA according to the procedures laid down in the Agreement and in Council Decision 2001/469/EC of 14 May 2001 concerning the conclusion on behalf of the European Community of the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the European Community on the coordination of energy-efficient labelling programmes for office equipment(9), the following steps have to be taken.
