The conditions, procedures and responsibilities applicable to the migration from SIS 1+ to SIS II are laid down in Council Regulation (EC) No 1104/2008 of 24 October 2008 on migration from the Schengen Information System (SIS 1+) to the second generation Schengen Information System (SIS II) (3) and Decision 2008/839/JHA (4).

4. Si un État membre remplace sa partie nationale par le N.SIS II, les fonctions obligatoires de la fonction de support technique à l’égard de ladite partie nationale, mentionnées à l’article 92, paragraphes 2 et 3, deviennent des fonctions obligatoires à l’égard du SIS II central, sans préjudice des obligations visées à la décision 2008/839/JAI du Conseil ainsi qu’à l’article 5, paragraphe 1, et à l’article 10, paragraphes 1, 2 et 3, du règlement (CE) no 1104/2008 du Conseil.
4. In case any of the Member States replace their national section by N.SIS II, the compulsory functions of the technical support function towards that national section as mentioned in Article 92(2) and (3) become compulsory functions towards Central SIS II, without prejudice to the obligations referred to in Council Decision 2008/839/JHA and in Articles 5(1), 10(1), (2) and (3) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1104/2008.
