Ainsi rédigées, ces dispositions sont pleinement compatibles avec la directive 91/308/CEE du Conseil, du 10 juin 1991, relative à la prévention de l’utilisation du système financier aux fins de blanchiment de capitaux , modifiée par la directive 2001/97/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil , et la décision 2000/642/JAI du Conseil du 17 octobre 2000 relative aux modalités de coopération entre les cellules de renseignement financier des États membres en ce qui concerne l'échange d'informations .
As worded, these provisions comply fully with Council Directive 91/308/EEC of 10 June 1991 on prevention of the use of the financial system for the purpose of money laundering , as amended by Directive 2001/97/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Council Decision 2000/642/JHA of 17 October 2000 concerning arrangements for cooperation between financial intelligence units of the Member States in respect of exchanging information .

The three proposals are mainly based on the content of Articles 92 – 119 of the Convention Implementing the Schengen Agreement as amended by the recently adopted Council Regulation (EC) No 871/2004 and Council Decision 2005/211/JHA on the introduction of new functions for the Schengen Information System including the fight against terrorism (the so-called “Spanish initiatives”).
