22. Considers that, for the purposes of international trade and the transport of hydrocarbons in the region, it is essential to develop the EU’s Black Sea and maritime Danube port infrastructure and intermodal transport infrastructure, and calls on the Commission and Member States to expedite completion of priority trans-European transport projects along axes 7, 18, 21 and 22, as provided for in Annex II to Decision No 884/2004/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 amending Decision No 1692/96/EC on Community guidelines for the development of the trans-European transport network and their progressive assimilation with the TRACECA corridor, the central axis, the south-east axis and the international maritime transport routes, as defined in the communication from the Commission to the Council and the European Parliament on ‘Extension of the major trans-European transport axes to the neighbouring countries – Guidelines for transport in Europe and the neighbouring regions’ (COM(2007)0032);

Je pense en ce moment, même si la résolution ne le prévoit pas en particulier, à la stratégie européenne pour la région du Danube, car ce fleuve a récemment été la cause de catastrophes naturelles (en 2002 et en 2004).
I am thinking at the moment, even though it is not specifically referred to in this resolution, of the EU’s Danube Strategy, given that this river has been a source of natural disasters in the recent past, in 2002 and 2004.

D’un membre fondateur de l’UE, l’Allemagne, via l’Autriche, qui a rejoint l’UE en 1995, aux nouveaux États membres d’Europe centrale et orientale qui ont rejoint l’Union en 2004, le Danube relie aussi des pays voisins tels que la Croatie, pays candidat à l’adhésion, ainsi que d’autres pays voisins qui aspirent à rejoindre l’UE.
From a founder member of the EU, Germany, via Austria, which joined in 1995, through to the new Member States in Central and Eastern Europe that joined in 2004, the Danube also connects neighbouring countries like the accession country Croatia as well as other neighbouring countries that have aspirations for accession.

Considers that, for the purpose of international trade and the transport of hydrocarbons in the region, it is essential to develop EU Black Sea and maritime Danube port infrastructures and intermodal transport arrangements and calls on the Commission and the Member States to accelerate the realisation of priority trans-European transport projects along axes 7, 18, 21 and 22 referred to in Annex II of Decision 884/2004/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 amending Decision No 1692/96/EC on Community guidelines for the development of the trans-European transport network and their progressive integration with TRACECA, the central axis, the south-east axis and the international maritime transport connections referred to in the Commission communication to the Council and European Parliament 'Extension of the major trans-European transport axes to the neighbouring countries - Guidelines for transport in Europe and neighbouring regions (COM(2007)0032);
