Tous les patients étaient pris en charge selon les standards habituels et étaient randomisés pour recevoir soit le placebo soit l’eptifibatide (2 bolus de 180 microgrammes/kg et une perfusion continue jusqu’à la sortie de l’hôpital ou jusqu’à un maximum de 18-24 heures).
Alle patiënten kregen een standaardverzorging en werden gerandomiseerd naar placebo of naar eptifibatide (twee bolussen van 180 microgram/kg en een continue infusie tot ontslag uit het ziekenhuis of maximaal 18-24 uur).
