As regards release for free circulation in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia as of 1 May 2004 of the steel products covered by this Regulation and shipped before 1 May 2004, an import document shall not be required provided that the goods were shipped before 1 May 2004 and that the bill of lading or another transport document deemed to be equivalent by Community authorities proving the shipment date, has been presented’.
Voor het in het vrije verkeer brengen met ingang van 1 mei 2004 in Tsjechië, Estland, Cyprus, Letland, Litouwen, Hongarije, Malta, Polen, Slovenië en Slowakije is voor onder deze verordening vallende ijzer- en staalproducten die vóór 1 mei 2004 zijn verzonden geen invoerdocument vereist, mits de vrachtbrief is overgelegd, dan wel een ander vervoersdocument dat door de autoriteiten van de Gemeenschap als gelijkwaardig wordt beschouwd, waarmee de datum van verzending kan worden aangetoond”.

If the steel products were shipped to one of these Member States before 1 May 2004, the import authorisation shall be granted automatically, without quantitative limitation, on presentation of the bill of lading or another transport document deemed to be equivalent by the Community licensing offices proving the shipment date and after approval from the Commission's office responsible for the management of licences (SIGL).
Wanneer ijzer- en staalproducten vóór 1 mei 2004 naar één van deze lidstaten zijn verzonden, wordt de invoer automatisch toegestaan, zonder kwantitatieve beperkingen, op overlegging van de vrachtbrief of een ander vervoersdocument dat door de vergunningverlenende diensten van de Gemeenschap als gelijkwaardig wordt beschouwd en waaruit de datum van verzending blijkt, zulks na goedkeuring van de dienst van de Commissie die met het beheer van vergunningen is belast (SIGL).

1. For the purposes of applying Article 12(2)(c) of the Protocol, the shipping certificate, issued in the first port of embarkation for the Community, shall be equivalent to the through bill of lading for products covered by movement certificates issued in landlocked ACP States.
