TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

The former reinforces guarantees safeguarding the fundamental right to asylum, in particular, by strengthening the right to access asylum procedures (Articles 18 and 19), whereas the latter includes improved and clearer standards to more effectively safeguard the fundamental right to dignity, especially as regards vulnerable asylum seekers and further harmonises the rules on detention, laying down clear and restrictive grounds, conditions for detention, and guarantees for detainees (Articles 1, 4, 6, 7, 18, 21, 24, and 47).
De eerste richtlijn zorgt voor sterkere waarborgen ter bescherming van het recht op asiel, in het bijzonder door het recht op toegang tot asielprocedures te bevorderen (artikelen 18 en 19). De tweede richtlijn omvat betere en duidelijkere normen om het fundamentele recht op een waardige behandeling te garanderen, met name voor kwetsbare asielzoekers. In de richtlijn zijn duidelijke en beperkende gronden, voorwaarden voor bewaring en waarborgen voor in bewaring gestelde personen vastgelegd. De richtlijn zorgt zo voor verdere harmonisering van de regels inzake bewaring (artikelen 1, 4, 6, 7, 18, 21, 24 en 47).

This Regulation respects the fundamental rights and observes the principles recognised by Articles 2 and 6 of the Treaty on European Union (TEU) and by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, in particular respect for human dignity, the right to life, the prohibition of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, the prohibition of trafficking in human beings, the right to liberty and security, the right to the protection of personal data, the right of access to documents, the right to asylum and to protection against removal and expulsion, non-refoulement, non-discrimination and the rights of the child.

This Regulation respects fundamental rights and observes the principles recognised in particular by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and should be applied in accordance with the right to asylum recognised in Article 18 of the Charter,
