The Commission thinks that the common position is a balanced text responding to the real dangers constituted by the eye diseases and skin cancers, or melanomas, that are an issue for all Europeans and thinks that it is perfectly in keeping with the terms of the European Parliament’s recent resolution on the promotion of health and safety.
De Commissie beschouwt het gemeenschappelijk standpunt als een evenwichtige tekst die beantwoord aan de reële gevaren van oogziekten en huidkanker – melanomen – waarmee alle burgers te maken hebben, en die volkomen in lijn is met de bewoordingen van de recente resolutie van het Europees Parlement over de bevordering van de gezondheid en de veiligheid.
