Definition: Disorders that fulfil some of the features of bulimia nervosa, but in which the overall clinical picture does not justify that diagnosis. For instance, there may be recurrent bouts of overeating and overuse of purgatives without significant weight change, or the typical overconcern about body shape and weight may be absent.
Omschrijving: Stoornissen die voldoen aan enkele kenmerken van bulimia nervosa, maar waarvan het algehele klinische beeld die diagnose niet rechtvaardigt. Er kan bijvoorbeeld sprake zijn van herhaalde aanvallen van overeten en bovenmatig gebruik van laxantia zonder gewichtsverandering van betekenis of de kenmerkende overdreven-bezorgdheid voor lichaamsvorm en gewicht kan afwezig zijn.
