Without prejudice to requirements of national criminal law, the competent authorities, bodies or natural or legal persons other than competent authorities which receive confidential information pursuant to this Directive or to Regulation (EU) No ./. [MiFIR] may use it only in the performance of their duties and for the exercise of their functions, in the case of the competent authorities, within the scope of this Directive or of Regulation (EU) No ./. [MiFIR] or , in the case of other authorities, bodies or natural or legal persons, for the purpose for which such information was provided to them and/or in the context of administrative or judicial proceedings specifically related to the exercise of those functions.

Recalls the Joint Declaration of 1 December 2011 on financing the additional costs of the ITER programme for 2012-2013, in which Parliament, the Council and the Commission also agree to make available EUR 360 million in CA in the 2013 budget procedure, ‘making full use of the provisions laid down in the Financial Regulation and in the IIA, excluding any further ITER-related revision of the MFF’; is concerned that the Commission proposes to finance this additional amount only through redeployment from lines of the FP7 programme, contrary to Parliament’s long-standing position on the matter; takes full account of the Commission’s claim that this amount derives from performance savings on FP7, and that those cuts on administrative lines will not harm the operation of the programme; intends to examine this claim further, as well as to explore other means available under the IIA and the Financial Regulation for this purpose;

Richtlijn 86/609/EEG van de Raad van 24 november 1986 inzake de onderlinge aanpassing van de wettelijke en bestuursrechtelijke bepalingen van de lidstaten betreffende de bescherming van dieren die voor experimentele en andere doeleinden worden gebruikt implementeert de Europese Overeenkomst voor de bescherming van gewervelde dieren die worden gebruikt voor experimentele en andere wetenschappelijke doeleinden (hierna „de Overeenkomst” genoemd).

Without prejudice to cases covered by criminal law, the competent authorities, bodies or natural or legal persons other than competent authorities which receive confidential information pursuant to this Directive may use it only in the performance of their duties and for the exercise of their functions, in the case of the competent authorities, within the scope of this Directive or, in the case of other authorities, bodies or natural or legal persons, for the purpose for which such information was provided to them and/or in the context of administrative or judicial proceedings specifically related to the exercise of those functions. However, where the competent authority or other authority, body or person communicating information consents thereto, the authority receiving the information may use it for other purposes.
