Under Regulation (EU) No 386/2012 , the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (‧the Office‧) is entrusted with certain tasks and activities, financed by making use of its own budgetary means, aimed at facilitating and supporting the activities of national authorities, the private sector and the Union institutions in the fight against, including the prevention of, infringement of intellectual property rights.

Member States shall take the necessary measures to ensure that the information referred to in paragraph 5 is recorded in a single publicly accessible online database established and managed by the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (‧the Office‧) in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 386/2012.
