Urges the Commission and the Member States to supplement Regulation (EU) 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species with an information and education campaign aimed at discouraging people from purchasing exotic animal and plant species;
26. dringt er bij de Commissie en de lidstaten op aan Verordening (EU) nr. 1143/2014 van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 22 oktober 2014 betreffende de preventie en beheersing van de introductie en verspreiding van invasieve uitheemse soorten aan te vullen met een informatieve en educatieve campagne gericht op de ontmoediging van aankoop van exotische plant- en diersoorten;
