TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

33. Welcomes the Preparatory Action on Culture in EU External Relations and its role in enhancing the role of culture as a strategic factor for human, social and economic development, contributing therefore to external policy objectives, and calls on the European External Action Service and EU representations all over the world to also include culture as an integral element of external EU policy, to appoint a cultural attaché in each EU representation in third partner countries and to provide EEAS staff with training on the cultural dimension of external policy; calls on the Commission to mainstream cultural diplomacy and intercultural dialogue in all EU external relations instruments and in the EU development agenda; calls furthermore on the EU and the Member States to strengthen cooperation with other European and international organisations such as the United Nations and its related agencies, in particular UNESCO, UNICEF and UNHCR, and to require an effective and stronger EU representation within their bodies; calls moreover for cooperation with national cultural institutes with the aim of improving implementation of existing instruments, such as cultural network-based clusters of European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), and the design of new tools to tackle common challenges in a globalised world;
33. is ingenomen met de voorbereidende actie op het gebied van cultuur in de externe betrekkingen van de EU en de rol ervan voor de versterking van de strategische rol van cultuur voor de menselijke, sociale en economische ontwikkeling, waarmee derhalve wordt bijgedragen tot de verwezenlijking van de doelstellingen van het externe beleid, en verzoekt de Europese Dienst voor extern optreden en de EU-vertegenwoordigingen overal ter wereld cultuur eveneens op te nemen als een integraal onderdeel van het externe beleid van de EU, in elke EU-vertegenwoordiging in partnerlanden buiten de EU een cultureel attaché te benoemen en het EDEO-personeel opleiding te geven over de culturele dimensie van het externe beleid; verzoekt de Commissie culturele diplomatie en interculturele dialoog te integreren in alle EU-instrumenten voor buitenlandse betrekkingen en in de ontwikkelingsagenda van de EU; vraagt de Unie en de lidstaten voorts de samenwerking met andere Europese en internationale organisaties zoals de Verenigde Naties en haar verwante organisaties, in het bijzonder Unesco, Unicef en UNHCR, te versterken en aan te dringen op een doeltreffende en sterkere vertegenwoordiging van de EU in de organen ervan; dringt bovendien aan op samenwerking met nationale culturele instellingen met het oog op een betere uitvoering van de bestaande instrumenten, zoals de culturele netwerken van de nationale instituten voor cultuur van de Europese Unie (EUNIC), en de ontwikkeling van nieuwe instrumenten om gemeenschappelijke uitdagingen in een gemondialiseerde wereld aan te pakken;

2. The technical implementation of the projects referred to in Article 2 shall be carried out by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), as specified in the Annex.

At the end of the OEC held in Luxembourg on 27-28 May 2014, the Chair concluded that the process of three rounds of OEC held by the European External Action Service (EEAS) with the involvement of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) in 2013-2014 had played a valuable role in developing a better mutual understanding of positions and concerns among the participating states.

The organisation of the seminars will be entrusted to the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR).

Encourages greater cooperation at multinational level between the WTO and the main United Nations institutions in the human rights field; considers that closer links with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and with the special procedures would be particularly useful to provide a multilateral trade framework which would enhance respect for human rights; considers, similarly, that the High Commission's expertise could be taken into account within WTO panels and the appeals body when cases of serious breaches of human rights are observed;

The World Trade Organisation (WTO), the international financial institutions (IFIs), the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and all the United Nations' institutions must work consistently and in a co-ordinated manner towards this goal.
De Wereldhandelsorganisatie (WTO), de internationale financiële instellingen, de Internationale Arbeidsorganisatie (IAO)en alle organisaties van de Verenigde Naties dienen hieraan op coherente en gecoördineerde wijze mee te werken.

This pilot scheme currently serves to finance an exploratory study under the direction of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (Unidir) and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI); it will help the Commission, in cooperation with Parliament and the Council, to press ahead with the programming of new financing instruments.
Daarmee wordt op dit moment een verkennende studie van Unidir en SIPRI gefinancierd, ofwel het VN-instituut voor ontwapeningsonderzoek en het internationaal instituut voor vredesonderzoek in Stockholm. Mede dankzij deze studie zal de Commissie samen met het Parlement en de Raad verder kunnen werken aan de programmering van de nieuwe financieringsinstrumenten.
