In their joint Declaration on Social Partner Involvement in European Economic Governance of 24 October 2013, signed by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) on the workers' side, and by the Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE), the European Centre of Employers and Enterprises providing Public services (CEEP) and the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (UEAPME) on the employers' side, the European social partners called for a coherent process of consultation of the social partners in the context of the European Semester, and confirmed their support for the Summit.
In de verklaring die de Europese sociale partners — het Europees Verbond van Vakverenigingen (EVV) namens de werknemers en de Europese ondernemingsorganisatie (BUSINESSEUROPE), het Europees Centrum van gemeenschapsbedrijven (CEEP) en de Europese Unie van ambachten en van het midden- en kleinbedrijf (UEAPME) namens de werkgevers — op 24 oktober 2013 hebben ondertekend, betreffende hun rol in de Europese economische governance, spreken zij de wens uit op een coherente manier in het kader van het Europees Semester te worden geraadpleegd en bevestigen zij hun steun voor de top.

Technical coordination shall be provided for the workers' delegation by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and for the employers' delegation by the Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE).

The general cross-sector organisations, namely the Union of Industrial and Employers' Confederations of Europe (UNICE) , the European Centre of Enterprises with Public Participation and of Enterprises of General Economic Interest (CEEP) and the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), informed the Commission in a joint letter of 29 May 2000 of their wish to initiate the process provided for in Article 139 of the Treaty.

Highlights the importance of the EU-Mercosur Labour Forum – established by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the main trade union organisations within Mercosur – as regards attaining social and labour-related goals in the region; stresses that it would be appropriate to foster the establishment of a dialogue between the European Economic and Social Committee and Mercosur's Economic and Social Advisory Forum so as to strengthen institutional cooperation between advisory bodies in both regions and increase the involvement of social stakeholders in the integration process;

The European framework agreement on teleworking signed by the social partners on 16 July 2002 will be implemented by the members of the European Union of Industrial and Employers’ Confederations (UNICE)/European Union of Crafts and small and medium-sized Enterprises (UEAPME), the European Centre for the public economy (CEEP) and the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) (and the PMS/European Confederation of Executive Staffs liaison committee), in accordance with the procedures and practices of the social partners in the Member States, as laid down in Article 139(2) of the EC Treaty.

The Foundation strongly cooperates as well with social partners at EU level such as ETUC (the European Trade Union Confederation) and BUSINESSEUROPE (the European employers' organisation).
De stichting werkt ook heel nauw samen met sociale partners op EU-niveau zoals het EVV (het Europees Verbond van Vakverenigingen) en BUSINESSEUROPE (de Europese werkgeversorganisatie).
