The European civil society umbrella organisations that are in regular dialogue with the Commission were closely involved in reforming and preparing the European Platform, which in 2015 focused on multi-stakeholder cooperation and fighting discrimination and anti-Gypsyism.

2. Calls on the Member States to take the following action: to put an end to discriminatory practices; to fight undeclared work and labour exploitation, inter alia by means of labour inspections; to recognise undocumented women as victims and allow them to access basic health services, employment and education; to enable them to have access to the legal system and to confidential advice in emergencies without fear of this resulting in measures to terminate their residence; to ensure that such action also involves the European Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion, as well as networks of existing aid organisations, churches and civil society organisations; and, where necessary, to establish specific forms of data protection for the women concerned;

40. Considers effective cooperation between national authorities and the social partners to be important in the effort to end social dumping and ensure that competition in the single market is fair; welcomes the Commission’s initiative to create a European Platform for labour inspectors; calls, in this regard, on the Commission to establish a European Platform for labour inspectors on undeclared work within Eurofound, with a remit – as an additional task for the agency – to organise the work of the Platform and facilitate the exchange of experiences and good practices, to provide up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparative information, to enhance cross-border cooperation and to identify and keep a record of letter-box companies and similar operations;
40. is van mening dat een goede samenwerking tussen de nationale instanties en de sociale partners van wezenlijk belang is om een einde te maken aan sociale dumping en eerlijke concurrentie op de interne markt te waarborgen; is verheugd over het initiatief van de Commissie om een Europees platform voor arbeidsinspecteurs tot stand te brengen; vraagt de Commissie om binnen de Europese Stichting tot verbetering van de levens- en arbeidsomstandigheden (Eurofound) een Europees platform voor arbeidsinspecteurs inzake zwartwerk op te richten, met als een aanvullende taak voor dit agentschap de de werkzaamheden van het platform te organiseren, en uitwisseling van ervaringen en goede praktijken te vergemakkelijken en tevens actuele, objectieve, betrouwbare en vergelijkbare informatie te verstrekken, alsook grensoverschrijdende samenwerking te bevorderen en brievenbusmaatschappijen en vergelijkbare constructies te signaleren en bij te houden;

Recommends that the Commission maintain the useful contact points set up both with ‘EYV 2011 Alliance’ and the successor Volunteer Platform, which include many civil society volunteering and networking organisations, and with the national coordinating bodies, strategic partners and national government spokespersons in this sector, given the large variety of bodies responsible for volunteering in the EU, and encourages these contact points to engage with the proposed centralised EU portal, as a pan-European platform, to facilitate further coordination and increased cross-border activity;

Recommends that the Commission maintain the useful contact points set up both with ‘EYV 2011 Alliance’ and the successor Volunteer Platform, which include many civil society volunteering and networking organisations, and with the national coordinating bodies, strategic partners and national government spokespersons in this sector, given the large variety of bodies responsible for volunteering in the EU, and encourages these contact points to engage with the proposed centralised EU portal, as a pan-European platform, to facilitate further coordination and increased cross-border activity;
