TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

The new European Border and Coastguard Regulationand the amended European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) Regulations provide a basis for greater cooperation between EU agencies supporting Member State authorities that carry out coastguard functions and with nonEU countries around European sea basins.

Coast Guard surveillance: National coastguards will be part of the European Border and Coast Guard to the extent that they carry out border control tasks.

By means of national coordination centres, all EU countries’ national authorities responsible for border surveillance (e.g. border guards, police, coastguard, navy, etc.) must coordinate their activities with those of other EU countries and the EU border agency, Frontex.
