In nauwe aansluiting op de verschillende fasen van het innovatieproces is een aantal activiteiten uitgevoerd ten gunste van het MKB : deze hadden betrekking op voorlichting, hulp bij het opstellen van voorstellen en bij (1) COM(93) 356 het zoeken naar partners (bij voorbeeld de uitvoerheidspremies in het kader van Brite-Euram, Euromanagement OTO), maar ook op financiering van OTO (bij voorbeeld Craft) of de verspreiding en de exploitatie van onderzoeksresultaten (bij voorbeeld Value, Eurotech kapitaal)(1).
