TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

In the present case, as the job description contained in the vacancy notice corresponded to administrative and advisory functions, functions which, according to Article 5(2) of the Staff Regulations, are performed by staff in function group AD from grade AD 5 upwards, it was right that the vacancy notice provided that officials applying for the post in question should be in one of the grades AD 5 to AD 14 and that the successful candidate would be appointed in his existing grade.

It is clear from paragraph 1 of the first group of eligibility criteria contained in the vacancy notice that, according to Article 98 of the Staff Regulations, candidates must be officials of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, of the Commission or of the EEAS, or temporary staff to whom Article 2(e) of the CEOS applies, that is to say, staff seconded from the national diplomatic services of the Member States engaged in order to occupy temporarily a permanent post within the EEAS, or staff from the national diplomatic services of the Member States.

Draws attention to the high level of spending on away days, conferences and similar events for staff at the Ombudsman’s office in 2013, which was noticeably higher than it was in the other institutions; considers that at a time of crisis and budgetary cuts in general, the cost of away days for staff of the Union institutions has to be reduced and that they should take place, where possible, on the institutions’ own premises, as the added value derived from away days does not justify such high costs;
14. vestigt de aandacht op de hoge kosten voor "away days", conferenties of soortgelijke evenementen voor het personeel van de diensten van de Europese Ombudsman in 2013, die aanzienlijk hoger liggen dan bij de overige instellingen; is van mening dat in deze tijden van crisis en algemene bezuinigingen de kosten van "away days" van het personeel van de EU-instellingen moeten worden verlaagd en dat deze zo veel mogelijk op de locaties van de instellingen moeten worden gehouden, daar de toegevoegde waarde ervan de hoge kosten niet rechtvaardigt;

The procedures for recruiting staff for posts transferred to the EEAS which are on-going at the date of entry into force of this Decision shall remain valid: they shall be carried on and completed under the authority of the High Representative in accordance with the relevant vacancy notices and the applicable rules of the Staff Regulations and the CEOS.
2. De op de dag van de inwerkingtreding van dit besluit lopende procedures voor de aanwerving van personeelsleden voor ambten die naar de EDEO zijn overgeheveld, blijven van kracht. Some institutions consider that very specific duties of a confidential nature, such as those of parliamentary ushers at the European Parliament or high-level security duties at the Council or the Court of Justice, should not be entrusted to contract staff, such as those provided for in Title IV. To this end, institutions having such a requirement should be permitted, after consulting the Staff Regulations Committee, to recruit, in AST 1 on the basis of specific notices and specific professional experience, officials whose career could reach AST 3.
