(25) The Commission will promote the use of sport as a tool in its development policy. On this basis the EU has developed an active role in the area of sports. It supports inter alia projects promoting the integration of young people through sporting activities, prevention of doping in sports, and a school information campaign on ethical values in sport and Olympic ideals.
