For the purposes of Articles 15, 58, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 75, 77, 78, 89, 90, 96, 101 and 104, as regards matters relating to direct payments, rural development and/or the common organisation of markets, the Commission shall be assisted by the Committee on the Agricultural Funds, the Committee for Direct Payments, the Rural Development Committee and/or the Committee for the Common Organisation of the Agricultural Markets established by this Regulation, Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013, Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 and Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013, respectively.

Throughout the Regulations listed in the Annex, any reference to ‘European Community’, ‘Community’, ‘European Communities’ or ‘Communities’ shall be understood as a reference to the European Union or Union; any reference to the words ‘common market’ shall be understood as a reference to ‘internal market’; any reference to the words ‘Committee provided for in Article 113’, ‘Committee provided for in Article 133’, ‘Committee referred to in Article 113’ and ‘Committee referred to in Article 133’ shall be understood as a reference to ‘Committee provided for in Article 207’; any reference to the words ‘Article 113 of the Treaty’ or ‘Article 133 of the Treaty’ shall be understood as a reference to ‘Article 207 of the Treaty’.

By using partial cofinancing as a solution to this problem, Mr Böge provides the option of fighting fire with fire, although this has been greeted by huge protests in Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture, for, first of all, the very tricky question remains of whether it is legally enforceable. Secondly, we greatly value the common market and want to preserve it.

The Commission can also adopt interim measures if it finds that a concentration that has been notified, although coming within the scope of this regulation, does not give rise to serious doubts as to its compatibility with the common market or is such that a simple change suffices to bring it into line with the common market.
Ook kan de Commissie voorlopige maatregelen opleggen wanneer zij vaststelt dat een aangemelde concentratie weliswaar onder de verordening valt, maar dat er geen twijfel over de verenigbaarheid met de gemeenschappelijke markt bestaat of wanneer een eenvoudige wijziging al volstaat om de concentratie met de gemeenschappelijke markt in overeenstemming te brengen.
