TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) makes a significant impact on the quality of life of PLWHA.
Hoogactieve antiretrovirale therapie (HAART) is belangrijk voor de kwaliteit van het leven van mensen met hiv/aids.

This procedure, now compulsory for high-technology medicinal products (gene therapy and associated cell therapies, xenogenic therapies) in order to maintain the high level of scientific evaluation and thus to preserve the confidence of medical professionals and patients, will also become compulsory for orphan medicinal products; for products containing a new active substance and indicated for the treatment acquired immune deficiency syndrome, cancer, neurodegenerative disorder or diabetes and, four years after the entry into force of the Regulation, also for the treatment of auto-immune diseases, immune dysfunctions and viral diseases.
Deze procedure, die momenteel verplicht is voor met behulp van hoogwaardige technieken vervaardigde geneesmiddelen (gentherapie en daarmee samenhangende celtherapieën, xenogene therapieën) ten einde het hoge niveau van wetenschappelijke beoordeling van deze geneesmiddelen in de Gemeenschap te behouden en aldus het vertrouwen van de medische sector en van patiënten te bewaren, wordt voortaan ook verplicht voor weesgeneesmiddelen en geneesmiddelen die een nieuw werkzaam bestanddeel bevatten en als therapeutische indicatie de behandeling van het verworven immuundeficiëntiesyndroom, kanker, een neurodegeneratieve stoornis of diabetes hebben en, vier jaar na de inwerkingtreding van de verordening, tevens voor de behandeling van auto-immuunziekten, immuundisfuncties en virale aandoeningen.

Support in this area will be granted for, among other activities: pharmacogenomic approaches; cell therapy, including therapy using adult stem cells and adult "reprogrammed" somatic cells; research into ethically acceptable alternatives to technologies which are controversial within the Community and Member States, e.g. alternatives to experiments on animals and to embryonal stem cell research and artificial insemination methods that could prevent the production of supernumerary embryos; support for innovative research on transgenic plants for the production of drugs, hormones and proteins for therapeutic purposes; innovative research in post-genomics and related molecular mechanisms, which has a high potential for application, including stem-cell therapies in neurological and neuromuscular disorders.
Op dit terrein wordt onder meer steun gegeven aan: farmacogenomische benaderingen; bevordering van celtherapie, waaronder therapie met volwassen stamcellen en volwassen "geherprogrammeerde "somatische cellen; onderzoek naar ethisch onbedenkelijke alternatieven voor technologieën die in de Gemeenschap en de lidstaten omstreden zijn, bijvoorbeeld alternatieven voor dierproeven, voor onderzoek in het kader waarvan stamcellen van embryo's worden gebruikt en methoden van kunstmatige bevruchting, die de productie van overbodige embryo's kunnen voorkomen; steun voor innovatief onderzoek naar transgene planten met het oog op de productie van geneesmiddelen, hormonen en eiwitten voor therapeutische doeleinden; innovatief postgenomicaonderzoek en aanverwante moleculaire mechanismen met een groot toepassingspotentieel, met inbegrip van stamceltherapieën bij neurologische en neuromusculaire ziektes .
