In Copenhagen on 28 October, the leaders of the candidate countries met Mr Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Danish Prime Minister and President of the European Council, Mr Javier Solana, High Representative for the CFSP, Mr Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission, and Mr Günter Verheugen, Member of the Commission responsible for Enlargement.
In Kopenhagen hadden de leiders van de kandidaat-lidstaten op 28 oktober een ontmoeting met de heer Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Deens premier en voorzitter van de Europese Raad, de heer Javier Solana, Hoog Vertegenwoordiger voor het GBVB, de heer Romano Prodi, voorzitter van de Europese Commissie, en de heer Günter Verheugen, lid van de Commissie en verantwoordelijk voor uitbreiding.

The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (High Representative) is in charge of coordinating and carrying out the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), as well as the Common Security and Defence Policy.

After consulting the Presidency and without prejudice to Article 18 of the TEU, the Secretary-General/High Representative for the CFSP may chair the PSC, especially in the event of a crisis.
