(17) De actie van het Europees Jeugdforum, de nationale informatiecentra voor academische erkenning (NARIC's), de netwerken Eurydice, Euroguidance en Eurodesk alsmede de nationale ondersteuningscentra voor de eTwinning-actie, de nationale Europass-centra en de nationale informatiekantoren in de nabuurschapslanden is van essentieel belang om de doelstellingen van het programma te verwezenlijken, met name door de Commissie te voorzien van regelmatige en bijgewerkte informatie over de verschillende gebieden van hun activiteit en door de verspreiding van de programmaresultaten in de Unie, in met de Unie geassocieerde overzeese landen en gebieden en in de deelnemende derde landen.

(17) The action of the European Youth Forum, the European Civil Society Platform on Lifelong Learning, the National Academic Recognition Centres (NARIC), the Eurydice, Euroguidance and Eurodesk networks, as well as of the eTwinning National Support Services, the Europass National Centres, and the National Information Offices in the neighbourhood countries is essential in order to achieve the objectives of the Programme, notably by providing the Commission with regular and updated information regarding the various fields of their activity and through the dissemination of the Programme results, also in the overseas countries and territories associated with the Union.
(17) De actie van het Europees Jeugdforum, het Europees platform van maatschappelijke organisaties voor een leven lang leren, de nationale informatiecentra voor academische erkenning (NARIC's), de netwerken Eurydice, Euroguidance en Eurodesk alsmede de nationale ondersteuningscentra voor de eTwinning-actie, de nationale Europass-centra en de nationale informatiekantoren in de nabuurschapslanden is van essentieel belang om de doelstellingen van het programma te verwezenlijken, met name door de Commissie te voorzien van regelmatige en bijgewerkte informatie over de verschillende gebieden van hun activiteit en door de verspreiding van de programmaresultaten, ook in de met de Unie geassocieerde landen en gebieden overzee.

27. Believes that priority must be given to the eradication of poverty by reviewing the macroeconomic, monetary, social and employment policies that underlie it with a view to ensuring economic and social fairness for women; considers it necessary to re-examine the methods used to calculate the poverty rate and develop strategies to promote equitable income distribution, guarantee a minimum income and decent wage and pension levels, create more quality jobs with rights for women, ensure access to quality public services for women and girls, improve social protection and the associated neighbourhood services, especially crèches, nurseries, kindergartens, day centres and community centres offering leisure facilities and support services for families;
27. is van mening dat het uitbannen van armoede een van de prioriteiten dient te zijn, via een herziening van het macro-economisch, monetair, sociaal en werkgelegenheidsbeleid, die daarvan de oorzaak zijn, teneinde voor vrouwen economische en sociale gerechtigheid te waarborgen; is van oordeel dat de methoden voor het bepalen van het armoedepercentage moeten worden herzien en dat er strategieën moeten worden opgezet die een eerlijke inkomensverdeling bevorderen, een minimuminkomen en fatsoenlijke lonen en pensioenen garanderen, meer hoogwaardige banen met rechten voor vrouwen scheppen, de toegang voor vrouwen en meisjes tot goede openbare diensten verzekeren, en die de sociale bescherming en dienstverlening in de buurt, met name crèches, kinderopvang, dagcentra, buurthuizen en diensten voor gezinshulp, verbeteren;

Wishes the Union for the Mediterranean Summit on 7 and 8 June 2010 in Barcelona to show the EU’s continuing support for closer cooperation with its Southern Mediterranean partners on the optimisation of national support schemes; the development of common positions on regulatory issues in the energy field, with the help of the Association of Mediterranean Regulators for Electricity and Gas (MEDREG) and the Euro-Mashreq Gas Centre; trans-Mediterranean cooperation on renewable energy; and the exchange of best practices and technological progress through initiatives and partnerships such as the Barcelona Process, the European Neighbourhood Policy, the Euro-Maghreb Energy Community Treaty and the MED-ENEC programme on energy efficiency in the construction sector;
1. wenst dat de topbijeenkomst van de Unie voor het Middellandse-Zeegebied op 7 en 8 juni 2010 te Barcelona duidelijk zal maken dat de EU haar steun blijft geven aan nauwere samenwerking met haar partners in het zuidelijke Middellandse-Zeegebied op gebieden als: optimalisering van de regelingen inzake overheidssteun; ontwikkeling van gemeenschappelijke standpunten met betrekking tot regelgevingskwesties op het gebied van energie, met hulp van de Vereniging van mediterrane regelgevingsinstanties voor elektriciteit en gas (MEDREG) en het gascentrum voor de EU en de Masjraklanden; transmediterrane samenwerking inzake hernieuwbare energie; en uitwisseling van goede praktijken en technische vooruitgang via initiatieven en partnerschappen zoals het Proces van Barcelona, het Europees nabuurschapsbeleid, het Verdrag tot oprichting van de energiegemeenschap tussen de EU en de Maghreblanden, en het MED-ENEC-project inzake energie-efficiëntie in de bouwsector;

17. Welcomes the interest expressed by the Mediterranean countries with regard to rural development; calls on the European Union to support the development of civil society networks in order to contribute to a strategic rural development plan for the south of the Mediterranean centring on the diversification of activities, enhancement of infrastructure for better access to information, vocational training, processing and marketing, reconnection of urban and rural areas and conservation of the environment (particularly in the context of the responsible management of natural resources around suitable methods of production); calls upon European Union to develop that strategic plan in association with the transnational, interregional, cross-border and neighbourhood partnership initiatives which are currently being devised on the basis of operational intervention programmes; emphasises the need to promote - in this connection - the establishment of networks and of structured cooperation for the purpose of disseminating LEADER experience and the experience gained in the integrated enhancement of rural areas;
17. is verheugd over de belangstelling van de zijde van de Middellandse-Zeelanden voor het plattelandsontwikkelingsbeleid; verzoekt de EU steun te geven voor de ontwikkeling van maatschappelijke netwerken om bij te dragen tot een strategisch plan voor plattelandsontwikkeling voor het zuiden van het Middellandse-Zeegebied, gericht op diversifiëring van de bedrijvigheid, versterking van de infrastructuur voor betere toegang tot informatie, scholing, verwerking en afzet, herstel van de verbindingen tussen stad en platteland en milieubehoud (met name middels een verantwoord beheer van de natuurlijke hulpbronnen gekoppeld aan een adequate productiewijze); verzoekt de Europese Unie de ontwikkeling van dat strategische plan af te stemmen met acties voor transnationaal, interregionaal, grensoverschrijdend en nabuurschappelijk partnerschap die thans worden uitgestippeld in het kader van de operationele interventieprogramma's; dringt erop aan dat in dezelfde richting wordt gewerkt aan bevordering van netwerken en gestructureerde samenwerking voor verbreiding van de ervaringen opgedaan met LEADER en de geïntegreerde valorisatie van het platteland;
