TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

It sets out the rules and conditions under which the EU finances commercial demonstration projects to capture and geologically store carbon dioxide (CO ) gases, known as carbon capture and storage (CCS) and renewable energy technologies (RES).
In deze beslissing staan de regels en voorwaarden voor EU-financiering van commerciële demonstratieprojecten om koolstof (CO ) en gassen af te vangen en geologisch op te slaan, bekend als CO -afvang en -opslag (carbon capture and storage - CCS) en technologieën voor hernieuwbare energie (renewable energy technologies - RES).

– (PT) I voted in favour of the report on the protection of the marine environment of the North-East Atlantic in relation to the storage of carbon dioxide streams in geological formations as I believe that the existence of a regulatory framework and guidelines on the storage of carbon dioxide streams in geological formations will contribute to the protection of the maritime area, both in the short term and the long term, provided the aim is to permanently hold the carbon dioxide in these formations, and provided that this will not have significant adverse effects on the marine environment, human health and other legitimate uses of Europe’s maritime areas, specifically those of Portugal and, in particular, the Azores.
− (PT) Ik heb gestemd voor het verslag over de bescherming van het mariene milieu in het noordoostelijk deel van de Atlantische Oceaan met betrekking tot de opslag van kooldioxidestromen in geologische formaties. Ik ben namelijk van mening dat een regelgevingskader met richtsnoeren voor de opslag van kooldioxidestromen in geologische formaties een bijdrage levert aan de bescherming op korte en lange termijn van dat zeegebied. Daarbij geldt wel de voorwaarde dat de kooldioxide permanent in die formaties blijft opgeslagen zonder dat er belangrijke negatieve effecten ontstaan voor het mariene milieu, de menselijke gezondheid en andere legitieme gebruiksmogelijkheden van de Europese maritieme gebieden, met name die van Portugal en, meer in het bijzonder, die van de Azoren.
