Managing the use of Parliament’s meeting rooms and entering all meetings of Parliaments bodies, political groups, DGs or other institutions into the Pericles application; monitoring the progressive roll-out of the MRS application for these activities.

The EESC calls on the Commission to establish genuinely effective corrective measures as part of these processes and to closely monitor the activities of large groups, safeguarding compliance with the rules as well as consumer and SMEs’ interests.
Het Comité verzoekt de Commissie dan ook met klem hiertegen maatregelen te nemen die ook echt zoden aan de dijk zetten en de activiteiten van grote groepen op de voet te volgen; zo moet zij erop toezien dat de regels strikt worden nageleefd en dat de belangen van de consumenten en het mkb worden verdedigd.

The three Institutions will monitor the implementation of this Agreement jointly and regularly, at both the political level through annual discussions and the technical level in the Interinstitutional Coordination Group.
De drie instellingen monitoren gezamenlijk en regelmatig de uitvoering van dit akkoord, zowel op politiek niveau door middel van jaarlijkse besprekingen als op technisch niveau in de interinstitutionele coördinatiegroep.

The EESC considers that the EU Presidents' meeting on disability and the EC DGs' meeting on the implementation of the UN CRPD should be held periodically, as announced, with the participation of representatives of the European disability movement with a view to political monitoring and promoting the implementation of the UN CRPD, including its accessibility provisions.
Het EESC is van mening dat er, zoals aangekondigd, van tijd tot tijd een bijeenkomst van de EU-voorzitters rond mensen met een handicap, evenals van de DG's van de Europese Commissie inzake de tenuitvoerlegging van het VN CRPD moet zijn, met de deelname van de vertegenwoordigers van de Europese gehandicaptenbeweging, terwille van de beleidsmonitoring en de bevordering van de tenuitvoerlegging van het VN CRPD, met inbegrip van de toegankelijkheidsbepalingen.

The EESC reiterates its commitment expressed in previous opinions to creating a Steering Committee to monitor the implementation of the UN CRPD by the EESC in the development of its activities as a political body.

For all the above reasons, the EESC hopes that an internal group can be set up within the Committee to serve as a reference point for the European institutions during the various assessment, monitoring and decision-making stages involved in completing the ERA.

Welcomes the recent and increased interest on the part of EESC members in financial and budgetary matters, in particular within the budget group, which includes a full commitment as regards both the drafting of the budget and the monitoring of its implementation; would like to see a strengthening of cooperation between EESC members and Parliament's Committee on Budgetary Control;

4.1 The EESC calls for the structured governance of the EDS via a European Disability Committee, as a concrete way of strengthening the existing Disability High-level Group (HLG) and to act as a coordination mechanism to implement and monitor the Convention pursuant to Article 33(1) of the UN CRPD.
4.1 Het EESC dringt aan op een gestructureerd beheer van de strategie via een Europees Comité voorpersonen met een handicap, omdat het daarin een concrete manier ziet om de bestaande Groep op hoog niveau voor het gehandicaptenbeleid te consolideren. Dit Europees Comité voor personen met een handicap kan dan, overeenkomstig artikel 33, lid 1 van het VN-Verdrag, optreden als coördinerende instantie voor de tenuitvoerlegging en monitoring van dat Verdrag.

7. Stresses the complex institutional set-up of the monitoring group; emphasises the need for the monitoring group to have effective cooperation mechanisms in place so as to ensure its operability and fulfil its principal responsibilities; insists, in this context, that the members of the monitoring group have sufficient competence to ensure that they can be held politically accountable;
7. beklemtoont de ingewikkelde institutionele set-up van de Controlegroep; beklemtoont dat de Controlegroep moet kunnen beschikken over doeltreffende samenwerkingsmechanismen, teneinde zijn operabiliteit te garanderen en hem in staat te stellen zijn voornaamste verantwoordelijkheden op zich te nemen; dringt er in dit verband op aan dat de leden van de Controlegroep voldoende bevoegdheden krijgen, zodat zij aansprakelijk kunnen worden gesteld voor het beleid;
