3. By way of derogation from this Regulation, engines which have received an EU type-approval pursuant to the relevant legislation applicable on 5 October 2016, or which meet the requirements set out by the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR) and adopted as CCNR Stage II, in the framework of the Revised Convention for Rhine Navigation, may continue to be placed on the market until the dates for the placing on the market of engines set out in Annex III.
3. In afwijking van deze verordening kunnen motoren waarvoor krachtens de op 5 oktober 2016 geldende toepasselijke wetgeving EU-typegoedkeuring is verleend of die voldoen aan de voorschriften die zijn vastgesteld door de Centrale Commissie voor de Rijnvaart (CCR) en zijn aangenomen als CCR-Fase II in het kader van de Herziene Rijnvaartakte, blijven in de handel worden gebracht tot de in bijlage III genoemde data voor het in de handel brengen van motoren.

As a second step, the administrative arrangement between the Commission services and the CCNR secretariat foresees the drawing up of technical standards in the field of inland navigation under the auspices of the CCNR.
