Ik wil in het bijzonder wijzen op een aantal voorstellen uit het verslag, waaronder de verwijzing naar het veiligstellen van de kustvisserij, de mogelijkheid om naast de aankopen ook de ontwikkeling van nieuwe technologie voor de visserijsector in de lidstaten te financieren, zoals uitrusting en software, informaticanetwerken waarmee bemonsteringsmethodes ontworpen, beheerd, gecontroleerd, geanalyseerd en ontwikkeld kunnen worden en waarmee visserijgegevens uitgewisseld kunnen worden.
