Die heute unterzeichnete Vereinbarung über einen Rahmen für die Datenschutz-Folgenabschätzung (PIA) bei RFID-Anwendungen („Privacy and Data Protection Impact Assessment Framework for RFID Applications“) soll gewährleisten, dass die Privatsphäre der Verbraucher geschützt wird, bevor RFID in großem Maßstab eingeführt werden (siehe IP/09/952).
De vandaag ondertekende overeenkomst, het "kader voor effectbeoordeling op het gebied van de bescherming van de persoonlijke levenssfeer en persoonsgegevens voor RFID-toepassingen", wil zorgen voor bescherming van de persoonlijke levenssfeer van de consument voordat RFID-tags massaal worden ingevoerd (zie IP/09/952).

- Die Vorabkonsultation/Privacy Impact Assessment wird als Artikel 28a neu eingeführt, entnommen aus dem Rahmenbeschluss 2008/977/JI, Artikel 23.
