Cimbria SKET GmbH emerged in 1997 as SKET Ölsaatentechnik GmbH from the SKET Schwermaschinenbau Magdeburg GmbH (SKET SMM) conglomerate, which failed after the Commission issued a negative decision against aid to the conglomerate in 1997.
