Article 37 of Regulation (EC) No 1782/2003 as amended by Regulation (EC) No 864/2004 provides that for the olive oil sector, the reference amount corresponding to the individual farmers is the four-year average of the total amount of payments which a farmer was granted under the olive oil production aid, calculated and adjusted according to Annex VII to that Regulation, during the marketing years 1999/2000, 2000/01, 2001/02 and 2002/03.

Consequently, at least 60% of the average of the production aid payments in the olive sector during the reference period 2000 to 2002 should be converted into entitlements under the single payment scheme; the calculation of the entitlements for each individual farmer should be based on the marketing years 1999/2000, 2000/2001, 2001/2002 and 2002/2003.

Question No. 5 Mr. John Williams: With regard to the Court Challenges Program operated by the government: (a) which individuals, groups and/or organizations received funding under the program in fiscal years 1999-2000, 2000-2001 and 2001-2002; (b) how many individuals or Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) work in the Department of Canadian Heritage or any other department on the program; (c) how much is spent each year by the government on the administration of the program; (d) who (name, city or town of residence and company or organization each individual is affiliated with) currently determines who receives funding under the program; (e) which individuals or which company is currently conducting the review of the Court Challenges Program; (f) how much has been budgeted for the review; and (g) how much has been spent on the review?
