Deplores the fact that Mr Barroso has already weakened the position of individual Commissioners-designate by implementing a policy of divide and rule i.e. by defining and allocating portfolios without proper consideration for their abilities and affinities, and has even moved Commissioners away from portfolios in which, to date, they have demonstrated their competence; points out that his negligence has led, inter alia, to the resignation of one of the nominees;

Barroso ait déjà affaibli la position des différents commissaires désignés en appliquant le principe "diviser pour mieux régner", et notamment en définissant et en attribuant les portefeuilles sans porter véritablement attention aux compétences et aux affinités des différents candidats, et qu'il soit même allé jusqu'à retirer à certains commissaires désignés des domaines dans lesquels ils avaient jusqu'alors fait la preuve de leur compétence; souligne que son incurie a notamment conduit au retrait de l'un des candidats;
