In years when climatic conditions have been exceptionally unfavourable and in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 104(1), the limits on increases in the alcoholic strength by volume provided for in point 2 may be raised, respectively, to the level of 4.5% vol. in wine-growing zones A, 3.5% vol. in wine-growing zones B and 3% vol. in wine-growing zones C in accordance with Annex IX.
