Why should the Provost Marshal be involved in influencing investigations when, one, they are operationally qualified — if not, they should not be in uniform — and, two, they are engaging the chain of command in a decision that brings back the possibility of it being influenced or it being treated as influencing, no matter what you write on a piece of paper?
