In order to improve the reliability of such lists, appropriate verification and/or correction mechanisms and minimum guarantees for the persons concerned should be established, at least at the initiative of the Member States of the Sanctions Committees which are also members of the EU. It is also worth drawing attention to the fact that the latter countries have an obligation to cooperate sincerely with the EU and the other Member States, as provided for in Article 19 of the TEU, which stipulates that "Member States which are also members of the United Nations Security Council will concert and keep the other Member States fully informed”.
